After 20+ years of taking advice from professionals… I stopped listening 🙊 

Redken, Olaplex, Purology, Kenra… NONE of thes professional brands worked for me. My scalp was always oily; my hair was still fine, thin & would break off at my collar bone. I was washing my hair every other day & wasting thousands of $ on extensions from college throughout most of my adult life.

There’s some new friends & faces around here so I thought it’d be fun to share some random facts about me 💁🏼‍♀️

💪🏼 I’ve modeled for golds gym & have been featured with a full page spread in a health & fitness magazine 

🔪 I enjoy true crime series & I binge watch tv series while I work. If it has more than 2 seasons, I’ve probably watched it. 

🎨 I graduated summa cum laude from ACU with a BFA with a focus in Graphic Design & an independent study in Interactive Design. I freelance full-time now. 

🫧 I always take 1.5 pieces of gum. 2 is too much and 1 isn’t enough. I also blow bubbles all the time because my oldest always asks me to when he’s with me.

👦🏼 I always thought I’d have a boy & a girl, but being a boy mom has made me realize that I probably wouldn’t be able to handle the hormones of well… me 😂 Plus I’ve always been more of a “guys girl” so I’m all about no drama as they get older 💯 

👵🏼 I sleep with a heating pad on my back every night. Not so much because my back aches, but because I love the warmth when I get into bed 🥰

some hair & scalp oiling mistakes make me want to 🥲
🤍 oiling your scalp & ends 1x a week removes buildup, nourishes the hair follicle, promotes hair growth, moisturizes ends, & protects from damage

I started seeing real results when I stopped doing traditional crunches. It’s all about working on your deep core & pelvic floor - and this applies to both men and women! Especially women that are postpartum 🤗

Think of your abs like a corset. When you engage, you want to picture your abs “wrapping” around you or “hugging” you, while “pulling in & up” on your pelvic floor. If you lose this engagement at anytime while you’re doing abs, stop and reset. Otherwise you won’t see results & can end up doing more harm than good.

Your girl has had a real hair transformation y’all 🔥 

I used to be so insecure about my hair. I wore extensions for 10+ years because I had thin fine hair that would break off & had so much damage. I always just wanted thick long healthy hair & would waste thousandsss of $$$ just so I could have it 🥲 

I wanted to feel good without extensions. I wanted to LOVE my hair so I tried everything. With all the professional products at my disposal from my parents owning a salon - still nothing worked 🤦🏼‍♀️

Here’s what I did to truly start my healthy hair journey:

1. Switched to products that supported my hair concerns & goals
2. Laid off excess heat
3. Stopped coloring as often
4. Added more healthy hair habits in general 

I share this because I know so many women suffer from dry, brittle hair that simply won’t grow.

PREP DIARIES ✨ 12 WEEKS OUT

I’m 4 weeks into prep and around 4lbs down from when we started offseason & prep. But >> SWIPE >> because it’s obvious how much we’ve recomped my body since then. 

It really isn’t about what weight I am come show day. I’ve been as small as 118lbs, which for my almost 5’8” frame that’s wayyyy too small. & I want to say that for my last show in 2015 I was around 136lbs (swipe again 😇). So we’ll see where we end up for my comeback show because I feel like I’ve got more mature muscle on now 💪🏼😈

The biggest difference that I notice from when I prepped back in 2015 vs now is that I didn’t have kids 🫠 So I didnt have chicken nuggets or snacks just hanging around tempting me to finish what my kids don’t eat 🤣 Y’all want to talk about will power! 

So far I’m having fun & am just overall excited to be able to do this again 🤍 

NOW I need y’all’s help - what color suit should I do this time? Do I stick to my gun metal gray?!
