A Letter To My Son
Dear baby boy,
You’re not here yet, but now that we’re getting so close to meeting each other, I wanted to write you this note in hopes that one day you’ll read it. I want you to know that no matter what life throws your way, you’ve been someone’s world ever since you were the size of a little poppy seed.
I held you close under my heart for nine whole months. Even though most days were filled with work and revolved around me and your daddy, there wasn’t one day I went to bed without daydreaming and praying for you as you were then in that moment and for your future. Every time I felt you move, it would stop me from whatever I was doing; I’ve never been so aware of someone else’s presence and so curious about who they’d become.
I can’t wait to sit with you and breath you in, study every inch of your little body, and tell you how you are exactly what your daddy and I have been praying for.
I promise to love you unconditionally, raise you with patience, kindness, and grace while encouraging you to become who God intended you to be. Whenever you’re ready sweet boy.
